LRAA art gallery at the Tanger Outlets

Anyone who has been following the artists of LRAA will agree that they are an integral part of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. From featured artists at local businesses to gallery shows to training by guest artists at meetings, LRAA is thriving and growing.
The latest LRAA news is a phenomenal art gallery at the Tanger Outlets in Tilton. The LRAA team, headed by president Jean Kennedy and now gallery director Pat Anderson, said an emphatic “YES” to the offer of the space. This involved the board quickly obtaining the agreement of LRAA artists to support the gallery. Support involves gallery sitting and other financial responsibilities involved in running a gallery. In what seemed like a nanosecond, the empty space was filled with incredible art works!
If you did not attend the opening on November 7 and 8, despair not. The gallery will be open through December and may become a permanent presence well into the future.
What does this mean for you? It means you can find unique gifts for the holidays. Unique is defined as venturing away from mass produced objects and supporting local creatives. It means you can select a one of a kind gift for hard to shop for folks on your list. It might be a paradigm shift in holiday shopping. However, that will be enriching for both you and your gift recipient.
What else? If you have not collected art in the past, treating yourself to a work of art is a profound event. To select a work of art is to make a conscious choice to add art to your home or office. Another opportunity for you is that some of the artists are available to do commissions of specific works of art. If you need a particular piece, you can contact the artist you are interested in and ask. Portraits, images of particular flora or fauna, a place that holds special memories are all possibilities.
The LRAA gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays 12-8 and Sundays 10-6 and is located a few doors down from the LOFT Outlet and across from the Chocolate Factory. There are paintings, prints, cards and more. Please take a stroll in to the gallery. Ask questions! The gallery is run by artists and they will be happy to share their knowledge.
