NH Boat Museum To Open July 1st
WOLFEBORO – On Wednesday, July 1, the New Hampshire Boat Museum (NHBM) will open its doors for the 2020 season.
“We are thrilled to open and look forward to a wonderful summer,” said NHBM Executive Director Martha Cummings, who cited Boat Building classes and an online Vintage Boat and Car Auction as 2020 highlights.
In Boat Building, youth, families and adults can build a boat from a kit.
In the Vintage Boat and Car Auction, this year’s iteration will take place online.
For visitors this summer, Cummings said NHBM will feature local artwork and “Locally Produced”, an exhibit that highlights local boat manufacturing companies.
In addition boat building and the auction, NHBM will feature model yachting (radio-controlled) on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the Back Bay Skippers, who will provide take-home kits for kids. NHBM will be open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and Sundays from 12 to 4pm. Visitors will be required to wear face coverings when entering the museum. All NHBM programs will also conform to social distancing guidelines.
