Hobo Railroad Santa Express Coming Soon

The Hobo Railroad in Lincoln, NH recently announced the schedule for their 2020 Santa Express Trains which begin the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 27, and depart weekends at 1pm through Sunday, December 20, 2020.
All passengers aboard this year’s Santa Express Trains will enjoy chocolate milk and cookies while children complete a letter to Santa during the one hour and twenty minute holiday excursion. Once the train departs Hobo Junction Station, Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their way through the train to pick up the children’s letters and visit with everyone aboard. On the return trip to Hobo Junction Station, Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their way through the train once again, although this time they will surprise each young child with a gift. Upon returning to the station, guests are encouraged to take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus on the stations’ south platform.
“We look forward to announcing our Santa Express Train schedule every year” stated Paul Giblin, Director of Marketing & Business Development for the Hobo & Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad. “The Santa Express Trains have been part of the Railroad’s annual schedule since the it first opened more than 33 years ago. For many of our guests, enjoying chocolate milk and cookies on the train with Santa has become a long-standing family tradition. In many cases we’re seeing second and third generations of families returning to create their own holiday traditions.”

Tickets for this year’s Hobo Railroad’s Santa Express Trains are $25 for Coach Class seating and $33 for First Class seating for all ages 3 and up, while ages 2 and under ride free. It should be noted that the difference between First Class and Coach Class seating is that First Class seating is at tables, while Coach Class seating will be at bench-style seating. Otherwise, the entire experience is identical.
In compliance with State of New Hampshire COVID-19 Guidelines, advance reservations are required for all Santa Express Trains this year. In addition, all Santa Express Trains will be limited to 50% capacity and each of the coaches on the train will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to every departure. Passengers will also be required to wear a mask when they arrive and on the train unless they are consuming something to eat to drink.
